LiDAR is new, efficient, as is able to produce results at a rate beyond human capacity. What does that mean for the average person though? Those that work primarily for factories are at risk of losing their jobs to a computer. Moreover, if this technology becomes popular, the costs of it will decrease significantly in years to come: making this more accessible to all members of society. Is 3-D imaging "on the go" going to be the new iPhone 4S?
